SDPIAM PS WAGUNDA ATTENDS BRIEFING ON THE DRAFT PUBLIC SERVICE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT BILL OF 2025

The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management (SDPIAM) Mr. Cyrell Wagunda and his colleague Principal Secretaries today attended a briefing on the draft Public Service Performance Management Bill, 2025, in Nairobi.

His Excellency Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, EGH. Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, in a speech read on his behalf by Hon. Ahmed Abdisalan Ibrahim, the Principal Secretary in the State Department for National Government Coordination stated that, the Draft Bill provides guidelines for enhancing performance management in the public service by entrenching a culture of performance and accountability.

He noted that The Draft Bill is essential for anchoring Kenya's performance management in law, creating a unified platform for performance management across the Government and implementing the Kenya Integrated Performance Management Policy 2021.

Notably, The Draft Bill also provides a clear performance management coordination framework with requisite linkages across the public service.

The Draft Bill has been developed by the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs, State Department for National Government Coordination in coordination with a multi-agency team.
