The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today attended a high-level Public -Private Partnership (PPP) Committee meeting chaired by the Principal Secretary for the National Treasury Dr. Chris Kiptoo and Co-chaired by Principal Secretary for Roads Eng. Joseph Mbugua who joined the meeting virtually.

The hybrid meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries Mr. Alex Wachira (Energy) and Dr. Salome Beacco (Correctional Services) as well as the Director General of the Kenya Space Agency Major General Hillary Kipkosgey who represented the Principal Secretary for Defence Dr. Patrick Mariru.

The meeting aimed at exploring ways of adopting and implementing key  commercially viable projects through PPP frameworks.

The projects are in various sectors among them energy, space, water (dams) among others, all aimed at delivering high value projects by bringing-in private capital to avoid external borrowing or raising more taxes and levies.

Among PPP Committee members present were Director General of PPP Directorate Eng. Kefa Seda, Mr. Macharia Taki alongside others.
