PS WAGUNDA HOSTS CEO OF BOMAS
The Principal Secretary in the State Department for Public Investments and Assets Management Mr. Cyrell Wagunda hosted the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bomas of Kenya Mr. Jimmy Okidiangi who had paid a courtesy visit at the Treasury Building, Nairobi.
The purpose of the visit was to acquaint the PS with the mandate of Bomas as a premier cultural and tourism destination whose role is to preserve and promote Kenya's diverse heritage.
Mr. Okidiangi further apprised the PS on the ongoing construction of the ultra-modern, state-of-the-art Bomas International Convention Complex (BICC).
The upcoming Convention Complex is aimed at strengthening Kenya's position as a leading conferencing and events destination in East and Central Africa b enhancing the capacity to host major international gatherings.
The PS committed to continue supporting Bomas which is now a Government-Owned Enterprise (GOE) to enhance their capacity and capability to achieving their core mandate.
